For Psychologists

Payout Policy

Last updated · July 4, 2026

This policy applies to RCI-licensed psychologists who deliver sessions on Innerly. It explains when and how you get paid, what Innerly retains as a platform fee, and the KYC / tax steps required to keep your payouts flowing.

01How earnings are calculated

For each completed session:

  • Session price is the amount you set on your profile, displayed to the client at checkout.
  • Innerly platform fee is 40% of the session price, deducted transparently. It covers verification, scheduling, video infrastructure, payments, support, and the payment-gateway charges below.
  • Payment-gateway charges levied by Razorpay on the transacted amount are borne by Innerly out of the platform fee. You receive the full 60% net of GST on the platform fee; nothing further is deducted at the gateway level.

A live earnings breakdown for every session is visible in your Earnings dashboard.

02When sessions are eligible for payout

  • A session is marked Completed 24 hours after its scheduled end time, provided neither side has filed a dispute.
  • If the client cancels a paid session at any point before it starts, or is a no-show, you're still credited with your standard 60% share of the session price — the same split as a completed session. Cancelling never zeroes out your payout.
  • Sessions that are fully refunded to the client (cancelled by you, or an Innerly platform fault) are not payable.

03Payout schedule

Innerly pays out on a weekly cycle:

  • Cut-off: every Sunday, 23:59 IST. All sessions completed before this point are included in the next payout batch.
  • Disbursement: initiated on the following Tuesday by 12:00 IST, via Razorpay payouts.
  • Settlement: typically credited to your bank account within 24 hours of disbursement (IMPS / NEFT, subject to banking hours).

You can also request an on-demand payout from your Earnings dashboard once your unpaid balance crosses ₹3,000. On-demand payouts attract a flat ₹15 processing fee per transfer.

04KYC and bank account setup

Before your first payout you must complete KYC inside the Innerly dashboard. We use Razorpay's verified KYC flow:

  • PAN (mandatory).
  • Aadhaar (mandatory, OTP-based verification).
  • RCI registration certificate (verified manually by our care team within 48 hours of upload).
  • Bank account details: account number, IFSC, and a ₹1-penny-drop verification.
  • GST registration certificate, if you are GST-registered.

Payouts are paused until KYC clears. Earnings continue to accrue and are released as soon as verification is complete.

05Taxes

TDS: Innerly deducts TDS as required under Section 194-O of the Income Tax Act (currently 1% on gross session price, or 5% if PAN is not furnished). TDS certificates (Form 26AS) are issued quarterly.

GST: If you are GST-registered, you must upload your GSTIN under Settings → Tax. Innerly will add GST to your invoices to Innerly and you remain responsible for your own GST filings. If you are below the threshold and unregistered, no GST applies to your payouts.

Detailed monthly statements are downloadable from the Earnings dashboard for use by your CA.

06Adjustments and clawbacks

  • If a session is refunded after payout (e.g. due to a verified clinical complaint), the refunded amount is clawed back from your next payout.
  • Chargebacks initiated by the client's bank are similarly netted off from the next payout, after a fair review.
  • Where a clawback exceeds the upcoming payout, the negative balance carries forward; we will not initiate a direct debit from your bank account.

07Disputes

If you believe a payout amount is wrong, raise a dispute from the relevant session in your Earnings dashboard within 30 days of disbursement. Our finance team responds within 5 business days. Decisions are final; we may consult Razorpay statements for evidence.

08Account closure

If you choose to leave Innerly, all earned-but-unpaid balances are settled in the next regular payout after your last completed session, subject to KYC being current. After 12 months of inactivity, any remaining balance below ₹100 is treated as a platform contribution.
