Code of Conduct

Last updated · May 1, 2026

Innerly is a small, calm place for therapy. This Code applies to every account: client, psychologist, and staff. It defines the behaviour we expect, and what happens when those expectations are breached.

01Our shared principles

  • Respect: address each other with civility, whatever the topic or disagreement.
  • Honesty: represent yourself, your credentials, and your situation truthfully.
  • Safety: never threaten, intimidate, or physically endanger another person.
  • Confidentiality: protect what is shared inside the session room.
  • Boundaries: keep the relationship between client and psychologist purely professional.

02What clients agree to

  • Attend sessions sober and in a private, reasonably quiet space where you can speak freely.
  • Do not record, screenshot, or share session content without your psychologist's written consent.
  • Do not ask your psychologist for legal opinions, medical prescriptions, certifications for court or workplace proceedings, or any service outside the scope of counselling.
  • Do not approach your psychologist on social media, personal phone, or in person outside Innerly. Use the in-platform messaging if available, or email support@themindsathi.in.
  • Treat Innerly staff and other clients (in group settings) with the same respect you expect for yourself.

03What psychologists agree to

  • Hold and maintain a valid RCI registration throughout your time on Innerly, and inform us of any change in status within 7 days.
  • Practise only within the scope of your training and competence. Refer clients out where another modality or specialist is clinically appropriate.
  • Never enter into a romantic, sexual, financial, or other dual relationship with a current or former client. The two-year no-contact rule after the end of therapy is a minimum, not a target.
  • Never solicit gifts, loans, donations, or testimonials from clients.
  • Show up on time, prepared, sober, and in a private clinical space.
  • Decline to work with anyone who poses a credible threat to your safety, after due process with Innerly's care team.
  • Cooperate fully with our care team during any complaint review.

04Zero tolerance

The following lead to immediate suspension and review:

  • Sexual contact, sexualised language, or grooming behaviour between client and psychologist.
  • Threats, hate speech, or harassment targeting protected characteristics (caste, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, ethnicity, language).
  • Impersonation or credential fraud.
  • Recording or publishing session content without consent.
  • Use of Innerly for any unlawful purpose, including drug procurement, money laundering, or fraud.

05Reporting

If you witness or experience a breach, you can report it from inside the dashboard (Session > Report) or by writing to trust@themindsathi.in. Reports are treated with strict confidentiality.

You can also escalate via the formal Grievance Redressal route.

06How we respond

  1. We acknowledge every report within 1 business day.
  2. The accused party is informed of the broad nature of the report (without exposing the reporter's identity unless strictly necessary) and given 5 business days to respond.
  3. Our care team reviews both sides, consults a clinical advisor where relevant, and decides on an action: dismiss, warning, retraining, suspension, or removal.
  4. The reporter is told the outcome, in general terms, within 14 business days.
  5. Cases involving criminal conduct are referred to the appropriate authorities.

07Consequences

  • Warning: a documented note on the account.
  • Mandatory training: for example, on boundaries, anti-bias, or platform tooling.
  • Temporary suspension: from 7 to 90 days, with no new bookings allowed.
  • Permanent removal: account closure and listing on our internal do-not-rehire list.
  • Referral to authorities: RCI, police, or relevant tribunal where laws have been broken.

08Appeals

Anyone affected by a decision under this Code may appeal in writing to grievance@themindsathi.in within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by a senior staff member who was not part of the original decision. The appeal outcome is final inside Innerly, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
